Walked Greenlake twice

Did a 5.6 mile walk to see where I stood relative to my Las Vegas Half Marathong goal.  I finished in 1:21:34 or a 14.34 pace.  That equates to a 3:10 half marathon.

The good news is that my stamina and cardio are not going to be limiting factors.  I didn’t use my heart rate monitor, but I could have carried on a conversation fairly easily while I was walking.

The bad news is that my shins are going to be my limiting factor.  I definitely felt them when I tried to go faster.  I’m now thinking that the volume of stretching I do may actually be more important than the volume of walking I do.

Oh, and the dog was definitely not happy I went somewhere in my running shoes without him.  He’s been sighing at me ever since I got back.
